Welcome to our video archive. By filming every recital and making an occasional music video, the Suzuki Academy is able to record the progress of students and have a little fun. Occasionally Korinne will upload a clip or two to YouTube, several of which are posted below for your viewing enjoyment. Below you'll find summaries of some of the videos above. The Lowe Suzuki Academy This video is designed to give parents of potential Suzuki students a general idea of what can be expected at the Lowe Suzuki Academy. The Suzuki Method is defined as well as the responsibilities of the parent and student in conjunction with the teacher. In addition to clips of lessons, groups, and recitals, current Suzuki teachers, parents, and students contribute their knowledge and experience. La Folia Korinne and five of her Suzuki violin students made this music video for La Folia by Corelli. Growing up in Provo, Utah, Korinne's teacher, Hiroko Primrose, taught La Folia with each variation depicting something you might see in a forest. The theme asks the question, "What's inside a big forest?" The variations represent the following (some you have to use your imagination): trees blowing in the wind, a stubborn mule, the storm, ski jumps, an old man with a cane, bunnies hopping, bike riders, a polar bear, frogs jumping, bull horns locking, a mama bear, a river, Niagara Falls, and finally, the whole forest! They had a lot of fun making this and hope you enjoy it! Spanish Dance A parent found a fun piece on YouTube called "Spanish Dance" and suggested it to Korinne as a recital piece. After listening to the piece, both Korinne and Kami were anxious to try it for the next recital. The piece was so much fun that now several of the students are learning it for the upcoming recital!
